I am back in LA as of 7:30 this evening. I didn't realize how much I liked it here until I returned.

I do miss Austin already though. Caley, Henri, Sarah, Caitlin, Pony, Fern, Christi, Emily and everyone else I met, Thank you! You guys made my trip awesome! I misssss you! Micael you are the best. You can come home now.

One good thing about returning home is seeing friends again! Yay! Dylan, Julie and Daley stopped by for some pizza and home movies (the cartoon).

Tomorrow I am off to San Diego to meet with Mr. Bobby Baily from Invisible Children and my dear friend Bryan to discuss some Burma stuff. Ohhhh yeah and we've got an Art show benefit coming up on May 10th... pleeeeease come! All of the proceeds go to our Thailand/Burma trip.

Alamo Drafthouse

Last night was full of new experiences. Micaels brother Henri works at the Alamo Drafthouse. Lucky for me last night they had a sing-along to Michael Jackson songs. The deal is they put the music videos along with the words to the songs up on the screen. Throughout the course of the night your alcohol content starts to rise and so does your voice. It's really fun.

good people...

Today's the day. I love you guys. Pray for peace is Sadr City.

Austin...

We ventured out to Lake Travis today. It was wonderfullllll. I think laying by a lake is exactly how summer is supposed to be.

I honestly really love the south. Small old houses, tall grass, beer cans, BBQ's, broken trampolines, queso, nice people, owl buildings, and most importantly...FIREFLIES.

finally an update...

So I feel like I haven't updated in so long. Soooo, here it is. I hope you're ready.

The term ended last Tuesday. What a relief. Second term was honestly unreal. I don't know how we made it out alive but we did. Congrats classmates. This term was important for me. I know I learned so much. Shooting with the 4x5 was challenging and in the end extremely rewarding. The images produced through that camera are amazing to me. This was my final for some of my classes.

Life has changed a lot in the past 2 months. Burma and Thailand are rapidly approaching. As our departure nears my anxiety about the trip heightens. I will always try my hardest to stay focused on my purpose in life. Encouragement always helps as well =]

I am currently in Austin. Not that I have been to very many places in Texas but I can honestly say I have not liked one yet... enter Austin with the Mazza's. This place is pretty rad. Downtown is interesting. It's all very different from LA, mostly in good ways though. I've experienced a couple bars, some tasty restaurants and some freaking awesome people. Honestly it does not matter where you are as long as you are in good company you'll have a wonderful time.

Micael and Buddy are scared of flashes =]

Oh yeah, Nigel (Hollywood) Holt was down during finals last week. We had some good times. Mopeds and Music. I shot a quick photo of him before we took off for the airport.

Since we were all about to take off in different directions... the girls got together and had a little early birthday for Sarah. Despite getting crazy sunburned we had a great time.

more to come soon... don't you worry...

Recently my hobby of exploring abandoned houses was turned into a project for my fine art photo class. Here are some images of a house I shot off of Scott Rd in Menifee.

It's amazing what is just left in places like this. Clothes still hanging in the closet... As creepy as these houses are something about them is so fascinating to me.
