Crashing your moped can have its benefits...

I don't go back to work until Wednesday so off to San Francisco we go! We threw our mopeds in the back of the car and took off at about 11:00 last night. We pulled into SF at about 5 this morning.

We are staying with Micael's good friend J... He's radical (you like that man?)

Fun and photos to come...

oh ya!

I still need support for Burma! I leave in 3 weeks!
DONATE!! :)

don't crash your moped...

So, as I was riding to work on Wednesday my throttle stuck causing me to slam into the back of a car. I kinda flew over my bike and the car landing on the opposite side of Melrose. Aside from minimal brusing and a few scratches I am perfectly fine. Thank you to my concerned friends and family, you guys are the best.

Micael is too sweet. As soon as he found out what happend he left class, ditched a group project and came straight to the hospital. When he was little and would get hurt his mom would buy him a transformer to make him feel better. Since I think transformers suck he bought me the cutest shoes ever to make me feel better!

good times...

Oh, Nuevo.

if i were you...

i would be jeaous of the mom i've got...

I am so blessed to have you as a Mother. You taught me how to be strong and independant, how to stand up for what I believe in and to always follow my dreams. Thank you for being the most helping hand in my life. Not only are you my mom, you are my best friend. You are the first person i call no matter what whether i'm excited about something or have to cry I know I can always count on you. I am so sorry I can't be with you today. I love you Mom.

The ONE?

I keep seeing things that refer to your significant other as "the one". What does that even mean? That there is ONE person for everyone? If so, I better hold tight. Sounds scary. Moving onnnnn... Things have been crazy since I returned from Austin. I moved in with a bunch of boys. They are rad. I started a new job. (Insert sarcastic tone) It's sooooo awesome. I can ride my moped to work, so I guess that makes it a little better. I have not taken one photograph since I got back. Weird. Anyone wanna pay me to photograph something? I will gladly accept. I'm sure everyone has heard about the disaster in Burma. Yes, we are still going, and YES, I still need your support. Our art show funraiser is this weekend in San Diego at 6pm. Please Please email me if you can help support our trip in any way. The people of Burma need our assistance now more than ever.

In 24 hours...

I started out in Austin, flew to Los Angeles. Drove from Los Angeles to San Diego. Then drove from San Diego to Nuevo, and finally Nuevo back to Los Angeles. I'm a little tired =] But! I have news. I will be in Thailand in 45 days. Here's the catch... I really need your help in getting there. We are going to need about $2000 each to make our trip happen (this includes airfare and all living expenses for the whole 6 weeks we are there). If you would like to make a donation on my behalf pleeeeease shoot me an e-mail (christie@christiehemm.com). I've gotta get my plane ticket purchased within the next couple of weeks. I really can't do this without your help.

While in San Diego I got to reconnect with an old friend from Art Institute, Brian. It was really good to see him. Lots of coffee, sandwiches, eating Polaroid poison and oil changes. Thanks B! You're the best. And fiiiiinally after all that I got to meet up with my Burma boys, yes that is what I call you. Get over it. Despite them putting TABASCO in my drink I still love them. We talked a lot about Thailand and Burma. Things are going to be wild. I can't wait.
Meet Bryan and Ryan.

By then it was pretty late and decided not to drive all the way back to LA. I suprised a good friend of mine =] Thanks Jeff.

I am back in LA now, tired... I am supposed to be moving into my new place tonight... we'll see.
